As part of my role on the Freelands Foundation Education Steering Group I advised on ‘Visualise: race and inclusion in art education’, a landmark research commission following three years of partnership between Runnymede Trust and Freelands Foundation.

This is new report examines the current state of race in art education in England, confirming what art educators have been saying for years: that art education is at crisis point. Despite their best efforts, teachers and students are rooted in an education system that is failing to nurture diverse art practices.

Read the report which was launched on 5 March 2024 at the House of Commons.
