I was invited by Freelands Foundation to assess and shortlist Expressions of Interest for the Inclusive Practices Fund.
The fund will support organisations to reimagine engagement and education; aiming to foster belonging and connection between young people in primary and secondary school, their teachers and visual arts spaces. It invites organizations to respond to recommendations from the newly published Visualise: Race and Inclusion in Secondary Education report by the Foundation and Runnymede Trust.
It seeks for bold and diverse approaches to art education initiatives which meet the needs of all young people, with specific attention to representation of work by minority ethnic* artists and the norms of engagement which may impact young people’s experience and comfort.
